Born and raised in Berlin, I studied abroad at Stanford University/California and in France at the FU Berlin and also completed my legal clerkship in Berlin. After the second state examination in February 2003, I have been working as an independent lawyer in my own law firm since April 2003. In addition, I completed a mediation training in the years 2000/2001.

Since the beginning of my work, my main areas of activity have been family law and criminal law, but here primarily the representation of injured parties.

Within the framework of family law, I will be happy to advise you comprehensively on all questions relating to the topic of separation/divorce with all related topics such as child and spousal maintenance, marital home, gain, pension equalization, etc. as well as any necessary protection options under the Violence Protection Act, such as prohibitions of approach or housing allocations.

If minor children are affected, it is also mainly about questions of custody and access rights. It is particularly important to me to keep an eye on the child or children. In the case of concerns and social disputes, I therefore also see it as my primary task to develop ideas and solutions together with you, which above all also take into account the well-being and interests of your child or children. Here you will also benefit from my many years of experience in this area as well as my previous work as a procedural assist.

In the context of criminal law, the focus of my work has always been on the representation of victims of criminal offenses, which is also particularly close to my heart. I see it as my task to represent you competently and committedly in every section of the proceedings and to assert your rights as an injured party.

Even the question of whether a criminal complaint should be filed against the perpetrator or perpetrators is sometimes difficult to answer, as many factors can play a role here. Already at this initial stage of the investigation procedure, I am at your disposal as a competent contact person due to my many years of activity.

If a criminal investigation has already been initiated, it is often possible to join the proceedings as a co-plaintif and to be represented by a lawyer of your choice. This means, above all, a strengthening of your procedural position and a comprehensive power of participation.

Criminal proceedings in particular are often associated with uncertainties for those injured by a crime for various reasons. As before, many injured parties in criminal proceedings and in particular in a main hearing in court are not only once again directly confronted with the act and the person of the perpetrator, but also have to face comprehensive questions of the parties involved in the proceedings, which they often perceive as degradation and exposure.

In this difficult and particularly stressful situation for injured parties, I can offer a particular amount of support as a committed ancillary claim representative, to make your rights as an injured person heard in the long term and to assert your personal interests in the proceedings. Through the institution of the subsidiary action, you take on a completely different role in the criminal proceedings, as you become from a mere witness to a party with special rights. As such, you have the right, among other things, to inspect the investigation file through me, to be present in person during the entire main hearing or to be represented by me in your rights, to be able to submit requests for evidence, to appeal in certain cases, etc.

In selected cases, I am also happy to take over your criminal defense and offer you competent and committed advice and defense from the beginning. In the area of sexual offenses, however, I only represent injured parties. Also in the context of criminal defense, I consider it extremely important, based on my many years of experience, to seek legal advice and representation as early as possible in order to be able to influence the further proceedings.
